| Television competitions can help move your career along very rapidly with the exposure you gain from being on them. We have all seen it happen with American Idol and even to some degree Nashville Star . Back in 2007, ABC did a primetime special that showcased some country music as well when they aired Six Degrees of Martina McBride . While no one has really shot to stardom from the show just yet, Kristina Craig, one of the shows six-finalists has begun to make her way down the path to it. The Nebraska native made the move to Nashville after her appearance on the show and has been hard at work on new songs for her forthcoming album. With "Come Home" we see Craig touching on a deep subject as the song was written for her sister who suffers from addiction. As Craig sings the driving mid-tempo song, you can hear the conviction in her voice as she lays out the lyrics that see a 19-year old girl leaving home for a better life and instead only finding her way to addictions, bad choices, losing faith, etc… She then asks the question in the chorus of how far one can go with that sort of path before their conscious takes over and they listen to the voice telling them to come home. Her lyrics are incredibly well written and her voice captures them perfectly as it combines elements of country with Christian and a whole lot of soul. This is a song that comes from somewhere the singer knows very well and is sung with a lot of heart and love which makes this really stand out upon hearing it for the first time. This is definitely a new artist worth keeping an eye on if this song is any indication. | |

Hey everybody!
I hope everyone is enjoying the cooler weather, as well as your Thanksgiving Holiday, there is so much to be thankful for=).
Well, since my last newsletter, I have started recording my original CD, it has been really neat watching the songs come together, as each instrument is added the songs seem to just come alive. I am still going into the Murfreesboro Women's Prison with a dear friend of mine. It is different every time we go in there; different ladies but the same response, they are just crying out to the Lord. God is working beautifully in there, thank you so much for your continued prayers and support! Also I want to thank everyone for tuning into our live stream on Gig.tv. I thoroughly enjoyed sharing some of our new songs with you. There are great performers constantly on that site sharing their music, so be sure to log on and get your ticket.
Currently I am back in Nebraska for the Thanksgiving Holiday. I did a show in Hartington, Ne on Friday night and a benefit concert for the Wayne State Band Ensemble and Choir this last Saturday; that was so much fun meeting all of the students, I found out what good dancers they were, and how bad of a dancer I am=) It looked like they were having a great time, so that made it extra great. This Wednesday, I go to North Platte, Ne and judge “The Flat Rock Idol Competition”. I'm very excited about that, because I've been in their shoes and I know from my experience of things I wanted the judges to say as far as constructive criticism. So I hope I can leave them with some good advice that will only make them better at what they do.

Hey everybody!
I have recently had quite a few exciting things happening with my music career that I would love to share with all of you. I have been a part of my Church praise band for almost two years now at The Well Church; playing with some of the most talented musicians around.
I have been blessed enough to have the opportunity to go into the Murfreesboro Women's Prison with a dear friend of mine and provide them with worship music. They are so hungry for the Word and Love of God, it's absolutely amazing. I have also been playing at halfway houses around Nebraska, for women recovering from addictions, such as drug and alcohol abuse; and plan to perform at different women's and children shelters in Tennessee as well.
God has been opening so many doors to do His work. I am so thankful for that. I am continuing to write with many talented writers such as Wynne Adams, Jane Carr, and Greg Giovannetti for the completion of my album. Three songs from the album are available to you for download through iTunes, CD Baby and Reverbnation or you may also find the three song CD through my website, www.kristinacraig.com ; there you can find my schedule of upcoming shows and news as well.
Thank you for your continued prayers and support! God calls us all to be servants, just like Him; and if there's anything I've learned it's that, you can't go wrong when you rest in the center of God's Will.

The Lord has opened so many doors and closing quite a few as well, it has been and will be quite a ride!
